Woman, 80, Dies in Collision Near Buena Vista Boulevard
Bakersfield, CA (August 18, 2022) – Linda Joyce Beaty, an 80-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Taft Highway.
On August 15, Monday, a pickup and a semi truck collided on the highway near Buena Vista Boulevard. The KGET News published an article online reporting Beaty was behind the wheel of a pickup traveling on Taft Highway. For reasons still unclear, the passenger vehicle crashed into a big rig. The horrible crash took place at about 7:24 a.m.
Fatal Traffic Accident on Taft Highway in Bakersfield
Emergency crews later arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics found the driver of the pickup unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Linda Joyce Beaty, of Bakersfield.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly crash happened on Taft Highway in Bakersfield.
