Boy, 10, Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver
LINDA, CALIFORNIA (September 10, 2018)- A hit-and-run pedestrian versus vehicle collision was reported this afternoon on Beale Road, per the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at precisely 1:11 p.m. right in front of the Rio Inn Suites.
The victim, an alleged 10-year-old boy, was hit by the motorist who fled the scene failing to stop after hitting the minor.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate to serious injuries.
At this time, it appears that the hit-and-run driver remains at-large.
No further details have been provided thus far.
Drivers who flee the scene of a collision are not only criminals under California law, but they are cowards and are often times driving under the influence when they flee the scene of a collision. Based on this news report, the hit-and-run driver and suspect could be given a serious jail sentence on multiple charges once located and arrested.
