Deadly Labor Day Crash on I-5 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2023) — Linda Marie Hufnagel, 53, died in a Labor Day crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway between Garden Highway and West El Camino Avenue in Sacramento.
The deadly, multi-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-5 around 3:10 p.m. on Sept. 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three motorists including a U-Haul truck were involved. One of the vehicles overturned onto its side during the collision, according to CBS News.
The Sacramento woman who died was later identified as Linda Marie Hufnagel by the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Sacramento crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
