Pedestrian Injured in Linda Crash Near River Bank Drive and Goldfields Parkway
LINDA, CA (May 18, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after an accident near River Bank Drive and Goldfields Parkway in Linda.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the collision occurred early Tuesday. Officers reported the crash at about 12:10 a.m. in Linda.
The incident happened when the pedestrian was crossing near the intersection of River Bank Drive and Goldfields Parkway.
Victim Hit by Vehicle in Linda
According to CHP, a vehicle then struck the person for an unknown reason. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Medical personnel then found the victim who sustained lacerations and complained of pain to abdomen as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the Adventist Health and Rideout for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the victim.
Officers forced the intersection of River Bank and Goldfields to close following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Linda pedestrian accident.
