GARDEN GROVE, California (December 28, 2016) –Linda Perdue, 31, of Garden Grove has been identified as the woman who died in a hit-and-run crash on Dec. 5, but this week police have also charged the suspect driver with the crime, according to the Orange County Register.
David Colon, 31, was the allegedly the driver of a 2004 Nissan 350Z allegedly that struck and killed the 55-year-old pedestrian as she attempted to cross the intersection about 6:45 p.m. Police believe he was also intoxicated when he fled the scene. They later found the vehicle and arrested Colon. He spent 10 days in jail on a previous offense of speeding and driving without a license.
Perdue was hospitalized, but died 10 days later on December 15th. The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to determine all charges against Colon.
