LINDEN, California (September 8, 2014) – Major injuries were reported following a collision Monday afternoon between the drivers of an empty big rig tanker truck and a car on Highway 26 at North Wall Road, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
About 1:34 p.m., CHP officers reported a big rig truck T-boned a small car whose air bags subsequently deployed. There was debris from the vehicles on either side of the roadway and the vehicles were blocking the eastbound lane, the report said. Paramedics responded to assist those injured in the crash.
The tanker truck suffered front-end damage to its cab, the report said.
“Police will investigate this crash to determine liability,” said Attorney James Johnson.
