1 Seriously Injured in Lindsay Crash at Highway 65 and Avenue 208
LINDSAY, CA (July 14, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Highway 65 and Avenue 208 in Lindsay.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at around 1:35 p.m.
According to the incident log, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Lindsay. One of them t-boned the other on Highway 65 at the intersection with Avenue 208.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP said one of the cars involved slammed into a power pole nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
The rescued victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 65 and Avenue 208 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Lindsay crash.
