LINDSAY, California (June 12, 2016) – A major injury 2-vehicle collision occurred on Sunday afternoon along Avenue 232, also known as West Tulare Road, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP received a call about a 1999 gray Honda Odyssey and a 2011 gray Chevrolet Malibu 4-door which collided at approximately 3:40 p.m. The crash reportedly took place on Avenue 232 at Road 201, near Road 204.
As per the incident log, Tulare County Fire Department personnel along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to at least one person who was confirmed to have been seriously hurt in the wreck. The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the roadway was reopened as of 5:14 p.m., after the deputies blocked westbound traffic at Road 204 temporarily.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
