Calaveras, CA (April 20, 2021) – On April 17, Saturday, Lisa Gumm suffered injuries following a car accident on Highway 26 in Calaveras County.

According to Calaveras Enterprise, 54-year-old Lisa Gumm was a passenger in a 2017 Harley Davidson traveling west on the highway. For reasons still unclear, the driver allowed the motorcycle to cross over the double yellow line.

Earlier reports indicated the Harley Davidson eventually crashed with a 2020 Ford Transit Van heading east on Highway 26. The unfortunate event took place in the area near Double Springs Road.

Motorcycle Driver, Passenger Injured in Calaveras County Accident

Shortly after 2:40 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site. Paramedics immediate attended to both Lisa Gumm and the operator of the motorcycle. Officials said both parties sustained major injuries, and had to be airlifted to Modesto hospitals for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford Transit Van reportedly appeared unharmed after the wreck.

Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate at this time the precise cause of the motorcycle accident in Calaveras County.
