Lisa Shelhorn, 19, Killed in Seal Beach Crash on Westminster Avenue; Man Critically Hurt

Westminster Avenue fatal crash Seal Beach December 9SEAL BEACH, California (December 9, 2016)Lisa Shelhorn, 19, was killed in a traffic collision that took place on Westminster Avenue Friday afternoon, according to The Orange County Register.

The collision involving two vehicles took place about 1:40 p.m. between Seal Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Chica Road.

As per the article, Seal Beach police said a man was driving a pickup truck east on Westminster Avenue when for an unknown reason he crossed over the painted center median into oncoming traffic.

The pickup then collided with a minivan going west driven by Shelhorn. She suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist in the truck was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
