Driver Flees After Crash on Encinal Road in Live Oak
LIVE OAK, Calif. (April 23, 2018) – At least one person suffered minor injuries Monday morning in a multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Encinal Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 7:52 a.m. The vehicles involved included a Toyota Sequoia SUV and a Ford Focus sedan. The Sequoia suffered moderate front-end damage and the Focus had rear-end damage, the report said.
One of the drivers, described as a white adult male about 6 feet tall, bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot into a nearby field.
Police closed down the southbound lanes due to the crash and called for tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles.
The injuries suffered were minor, but paramedics were called to the scene to treat those affected.
