3 Injured in Livermore Crash on Highway 84 Near Vallecitos Road
LIVERMORE, CA (April 27, 2021) – Three were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 84 in rural Livermore.
According to the East Bay Times and CBS San Francisco, the accident occurred on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck on April 24 at about 8:47 p.m.
The Alameda County Fire Department said six vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on Highway 84 near Vallecitos Road in Livermore.
Multi-Car Collision on State Route 84
One vehicle caught fire upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
A total of three people who ended up injured as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed them to a local hospital and listed one of them in critical condition.
The other two patients sustained moderate injuries in the accident. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced four lanes on State Route 84 to shut down for about an hour following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Livermore crash.
