Livermore Car Crash at Highway 84 and Concannon Boulevard; Abigail Garcia Killed

Livermore Fatal Car Accident at Highway 84 and Concannon Boulevard, March 16

3 Injured in Livermore Crash at Highway 84 and Concannon Boulevard

LIVERMORE (March 16, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Highway 84 and Concannon Boulevard on Friday morning, according to San Francisco Gate and Livermore Patch.

The accident involving two vehicles took place around 11 a.m. on Highway 84 at Concannon Boulevard. The highway is also known as Isabel Avenue.

As per the reports, police said a 2013 Infiniti sedan was apparently going north on Highway 84 when for an unknown reason its driver veered into the southbound lane. The Infiniti then hit a 2015 Ram pickup truck which was pulling an enclosed trailer at the time.

Police affirmed that the driver of the sedan, 20-year-old Abigail Garcia, was ejected and died at the scene. The Stockton woman was reportedly not wearing her seat belt when the wreck occurred.

Meanwhile, three people riding the truck were all taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries sustained by the victims remained unclear since SF Gate reported they were minor while Livermore Patch described them as major.

The names of the deceased and injured parties have not been yet released. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

A forensic examination of the vehicles involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine the liability in the accident. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast the Infiniti driver was going, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with the sedan, whether or not the female motorist was distracted or recklessly driving. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the bus such as point of impact, final resting positions of each car, skid marks, and gouge marks.

In such cases where negligence may have been a factor, the victims may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit seeking a compensation for all the hospital bills, future medical needs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
