Motorcyclist Killed in Livermore Crash at Highway 84 and Airway Boulevard
LIVERMORE, CA (September 23, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist at Highway 84 and Airway Boulevard in Livermore.
According to the CBS San Francisco and SF Chronicle, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5:30 a.m.
Livermore police said the incident happened on September 21 when the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the city.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 84, known as Isabel Avenue, and Airway Boulevard. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the motorcyclist down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the other driver stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck. Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 84 to shut down near Airway after the incident.
The cause of the fatal Livermore crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at (925) 371-4987.
