LIVERMORE: Two-Vehicle Crash I-580 Freeway, North Flynn Road

Mercedes-Benz, Toyota Highlander Collide on Freeway
ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif., (June 10, 2026) — A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported on Wednesday on Interstate 580 Freeway West in Livermore, just east of North Flynn Road. The incident, which occurred on June 10th at approximately 12:12 p.m., involved a Toyota Highlander and a white Mercedes sedan.
Emergency responders reportedly arrived on the scene at around 12:18 p.m. The collision resulted in the Toyota Highlander catching fire, which was swiftly managed and extinguished by the fire department. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with major front-end damage reported on the SUV. The lanes were reportedly blocked, impacting traffic flow in lanes 1 and 2.
There were emergency medical services deployed as a precautionary measure. The California Highway Patrol facilitated the towing of the damaged vehicles from the scene.
