Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Anaheim Street On-Ramp
WILMINGTON, Calif. (June 4, 2024) – Lizbeth Vejar, 46, died Sunday night when she was struck by a pickup truck on the Anaheim Street on ramp to the southbound Harbor 110 Freeway in Wilmington.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10:34 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported Lizbeth Vejar suffered major injuries in the collision and died at the scene. She was later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
Police responded and issued a SigAlert at 10:44 p.m. before closing the on-ramp and the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway lanes.
Investigators worked on the case in an effort to determine fault for the collision and the ramp and treaffic lanes were reopened at 1:18 a.m. the next morning.
The report did not mention if the driver involved stopped or fled the scene.
