VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2026) — Lizette T. Acero, 19, of Piñon Hills, died Saturday night in a Victorville car accident on Bear Valley Road.
According to the San Bernardino County Coroner, Acero was one of three injured in the collision and taken by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center. The young woman, however, did not survive and died at the hospital.
The fatal crash occurred around 11:34 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2026, on Bear Valley Road near Stonegate Drive.
Police responded to the scene and located the white 2017 Hyundai Elantra partially up on the sidewalk in the westbound lanes of Bear Valley Road. The passenger side of the vehicle was severely damaged in the collision with its door torn off upon impact.
The woman who died had been a passenger in the Hyundai who was ejected from the vehicle. Bystanders performed CPR on her until paramedics arrived and took over.
Two others were taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time.
Finally, the victim’s older sister, Jasmine Ronquillo created a GoFundMe to help assist the family with funeral, memorial, and other expenses.
