At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Highway 18
Llano, CA (May 21, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 138 May 21, Sunday.
Officials said two cars crashed into each other near Highway 18 in Llano. According to the CHP log, the collision involved a Chrysler SUV and gray Honda sedan. Officials added a third vehicle of unknown make and model was possibly involved in the wreck.
Children Hosptialized After Car Accident in Llano
Shortly after 1:12 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders found a woman screaming, multiple children, and other people trapped in the mangled cars. Medical personnel immediately checked the conditions of all people involved in the catastrophic incident.
Authorities later confirmed one persons sadly died in the collision. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Per CHP dispatch, several other parties sustained injuries in the crash. At least one helicopter landed near the scene to airlift at least two juveniles to the hospital.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on State Route Highway 138 in Llano.
