Wrongful Death and Personal Injury Lawyer
Based on the news report, it appears that the driver of the SUV may be held responsible for the crash. Several questions then need to be resolved in order to determine what exactly caused the deadly crash. Was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs a factor? Did excessive speed or distracted driving play a role? Why did the 27-year-old female motorist cross over the double yellow lines? Was she reckless or negligent at some point?
Once the investigation is over and it proves that a negligent party has neglected the safety of other people on the road, the family of the deceased and the injured victims may have the right to pursue a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault party. The claim will include a recompense for the funeral costs, hospital bills, loss of future income, pain and suffering and loss of love and companionship.
