2-Vehicle Crash at Woodbridge and Thornton Roads
LODI, Calif. (June 8, 2018) – A woman was gravely injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision at West Woodbridge Road and Thornton Road, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The incident took place about 5:48 a.m. this morning. The 911 caller told operators that the woman might not make it and requested an ambulance to come to the scene. An air ambulance was also sent to the intersection. The report does not indicate whether there were others hurt in the crash.
Two tow trucks responded to remove unknown vehicles from the scene.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
At this time, we do not know who is responsible for the collision. We also do not know how many were hurt, nor if any witnesses saw what happened. This intersection is controlled by a stop sign at Woodbridge, but traffic on Thornton Road does not have to stop. It’s unknown what led up to the crash between these two drivers, but police are piecing together evidence and witness statements and will assign fault.
We offer our prayers to all those affected by this crash.
