Man, 61, Seriously Injured in Logan Heights Hit-and-Run at Ocean View and Bancroft
SAN DIEGO (October 11, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident at Ocean View Boulevard and Bancroft Street Friday.
According to reports by San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego, the collision occurred at about 5:45 a.m. in the Logan Heights neighborhood.
Police said a 61-year-old man was crossing Ocean View Boulevard at South Bancroft Street when a vehicle headed south on Bancroft struck him.

Paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim was lying in the roadway and suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.
He was then immediately transported to a hospital with a fractured spine and a broken leg. His name and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the car involved did not stop to render aid and took off. Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the motorist.
