Logan Moran Killed in Oakland Accident
OAKLAND, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2021) – Logan Moran, 19, of Los Angeles, died in an Oakland car accident Saturday morning on the Interstate 580 Freeway, just east of 14th Street.
The teenager was driving a Toyota Scion westbound on the Interstate 580 Freeway about 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13th. Police say the car crashed into the back of a Ford Escape, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Scion reportedly spun toward the right shoulder and struck the cement overcrossing abutment.
Logan Moran suffered major injuries and died following the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries due to the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash. Preliminary results indicate that speed was a factor, but it’s unknown if drugs and or alcohol were involved at this time.
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office identified the Los Angeles man.
