Man Injured in Crash at Lompoc Intersection
LOMPOC, Calif. (July 12, 2023) — A hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened at West College Avenue and Q Street on Tuesday night in Lompoc.
The major injury crash occurred around 9:50 p.m. on July 11th, according to Noozhawk.
The adult male pedestrian was walking northbound on Q Street and crossing West College Avenue. Meanwhile, an oncoming vehicle traveling westbound in a white, two-door sedan on College Avenue struck the man and continued driving without stopping to help him.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene and located the injured man in the roadway. They requested a Calstar medical helicopter to airlift the injured man, but the weather conditions were too foggy. The victim was transported by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, police said.
There are no further details about the suspect’s vehicle at this time.
Also, authorities did not release the pedestrian’s age or identity, but he remains hospitalized.
