2 Hospitalized After collision Near Central Avenue
Lompoc, CA (October 3, 2022) – Two people suffered major injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on North H Street, the Noozhawk News reported.
Motorcycle vs. Big Rig Accident on North H Street in Lompoc
Officials said two people were riding a motorcycle traveling in north Lompoc Monday afternoon. In the area near Central Avenue, the driver of the motorcyclist lost balance. The motorbike, including the two riders, ended up falling down in between of a stopped trailer and the semi truck.
When the light turned green, the big rig started to move and dragged the motorcycle and the two riders. The operator of the truck felt the bump and immediately stopped.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 2:40 p.m. The article published online mentioned the two occupants in the motorbike sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Helicopters from both CalStar and the County Air Support Unit airlifted the injured man and woman to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major trauma, including leg injuries.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate several factors surrounding the crash that happened on North H Street in Lompoc.
