64-Year-Old Man ID’ed as Victim
LOMPOC, California (April 6, 2016) — A pedestrian was struck and injured Wednesday morning on the westbound State Route Highway 246 near Sweeney Road.
The crash was reported by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a green Ford F-150 pickup truck struck the pedestrian about 5:35 a.m.
The victim identified as 64-year-old David Decker sadly did not survive his injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, a 35-year-old, remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities and open to questioning.
No further information has been released at this time.
