2 Injured in Lone Pine Crash on US 395 Near Lubken Canyon Road
LONE PINE, CA (January 29, 2022) – Two were injured after a car crash on US 395 near Lubken Canyon Road in Lone Pine.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 1 p.m.
The incident happened when at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Lone Pine area of Inyo County. They crashed on southbound US 395, just north of Lubken Canyon Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as an SUV and a gray BMW sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Diaz Lake and found two people hurt.
At least one of them sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patients to the hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Lone Pine crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of US Highway 395 to shut down near Lubken Canyon following the wreck.
