
Driver Killed, Passenger Hurt After Collision on 14 Freeway
Palmdale, CA (March 21, 2023) – Lonell Veloz, a 40-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 14, also known as Antelope Valley Freeway.
The Antelope Valley Times News reported Veloz, of Boron, was a passenger in a 2005 BMW X5 heading south on the highway in Palmdale. When the car approached the area near Avenue O, the driver apparently veered off the roadway and crashed into a metal guardrail. Our sources indicated the BMW overturned and landed down the dirt embankment.
Officials said the horrible collision took place on March 18, early Saturday morning.
Shortly after 2:19 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site and immediately rendered aid to the driver and passenger in the BMW. The article published online mentioned the man behind the wheel of the car sadly died in the collision.
Man Hospitalized After Car Accident in Palmdale
Meanwhile, the passenger, Lonell Veloz, sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics rushed the injured party to Antelope Valley Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The California Highway Patrol group continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly car accident.
