LONG BEACH: 3-Vehicle Crash Artesia 91 Freeway, Downey Avenue
LONG BEACH, Calif. (May 21, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Wednesday morning on the eastbound Artesia 91 Freeway, just west of Downey Avenue in Long Beach.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision around 6:42 a.m. on May 21st, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch log.
Pickup Truck Overturns on SR-91 in Long Beach
CHP officials reported a grey Toyota Tacoma pickup truck overturned onto its side. The truck was blocking the fast lane following a collision with a dark grey Tesla Model Y SUV and a black Chevrolet Traverse.
Investigation into Long Beach Crash on 91 Freeway
Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department responded to help anyone injured and they checked on a 4-month-old baby who was in the Traverse.
It’s unknown if anyone was injured or if they were taken to a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 91 Freeway in Long Beach.
