Long Beach Bicycle Accident Willow Street and Santa Fe Avenue

Bicycle Rider Critically Injured in Long Beach Crash at Willow and Santa Fe

LONG BEACH, CA (February 2, 2023) – A bicycle rider was critically injured after a crash at Willow Street and Santa Fe Avenue in Long Beach.

According to The Long Beach Post and My News LA, the accident took place late Monday night. Officers reported the collision on January 30 at about 11:13 p.m. 

Long Beach police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck a man riding a bicycle in the city. The driver hit him at the intersection of Willow Street and Santa Fe Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the bicyclist who sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital and listed him in critical condition. The reports did not release the name of the wounded cyclist.

Meanwhile, police added that the male driver of the vehicle ended up unharmed following the collision. Officers forced the area of Willow and Santa Fe to shut down after the wreck.

The cause of the Long Beach bicycle crash is still under investigation.
