Two Injured in Long Beach Crash on Studebaker Road
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 3, 2024) – Two men were injured after one driver turned left in front of an oncoming motorist on Studebaker Road at Willow Avenue near El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd at the Long Beach intersection, according to the Long Beach Police Dept.
A driver traveling southbound on Studebaker Road reportedly turned left towards eastbound Willow Street when the vehicle was hit by a northbound driver. Upon impact, the northbound vehicle overturned and the man driving the vehicle suffered minor upper body injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department responded and rushed the driver from the southbound vehicle to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators working on the case do not suspect alcohol and or drugs were factors in the collision.
However, following the two-vehicle collision, another motorist drove through the crash scene on the wrong side of the road and was arrested on DUI charges.
