1 Seriously Injured in Long Beach Crash on 405 Freeway Near Orange Avenue

LONG BEACH, CA (November 19, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 405 Freeway near Orange Avenue in Long Beach.

The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place early Friday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 1:06 a.m.

The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Long Beach. They crashed on the southbound 405 Freeway, just south of Orange Avenue.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

CHP described one of cars involved as a Toyota Prius. They added that a female occupant ended up ejected from a vehicle as a result of the collision.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person who sustained major injuries in the wreck.

Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP shut down the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway near Orange for about two hours following the collision. The cause of the Long Beach crash is still under investigation.
