Multi-Vehicle Crash on 91 Freeway in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash involving injuries happened Tuesday morning on the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway, just east of Paramount Boulevard.
The collision occurred on State Route 91 about 9:41 a.m. on Sept. 27th, just west of Downey, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers involved were a black Hyundai Genesis, a silver Ford Focus and a black SUV. Also, a gray Volvo and a silver Ford Escort collided shortly after the first collision.
A woman from one of the vehicles suffered head trauma in the crash. The Long Beach Fire Department responded with paramedics to transfer her by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, tow trucks came to remove a few of the vehicles.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
