Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-405 Freeway in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Long Beach crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway happened Tuesday morning between Cherry Avenue and Spring Street.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes about 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Ram pickup truck, a silver Chevrolet Silverado and a black sedan were among the vehicles involved in the crash. It happened in the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the freeway.
One of the vehicles overturned onto its side and was blocking traffic lanes.
Paramedics with the Long Beach Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.
Investigators are working on the cause of the crash and liability.
