Hit-and-Run Driver Causes Fiery Car Crash at 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard Saturday
Long Beach, CA (July 3, 2021) – A passenger died following a car accident that occurred in the area of 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard Saturday morning.
According to the Press Telegram, a 51-year-old Los Angeles man was driving a 1994 Buick Le Sabre in the streets of Long Beach. Officials said the Buick first crashed at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Reports revealed the driver sped away from the accident scene. When the hit-and-run suspect approached the intersection of 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, he struck a parked 2008 Honda Accord. The Buick continued driving and hit a street sign, a commercial gas line and a tree.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the vehicle engulfed in flames. Responding firefighters worked extensively to put out the fire and extricate the parties trapped in the wreck.

The article published online indicated Long Beach Fire Department paramedics performed life-saving measures to the female passenger. Sadly, the 40-year-old Lakewood woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
Additional details on the catastrophic incident have not been discussed thus far. Further investigation on the deadly car accident in Long Beach is underway.
