Driver, 40, Killed in Car and Truck Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Saturday
Long Beach, CA (September 27, 2020) – A 40-year-old man died following a traffic collision in the area of Technology Place and Pacific Coast Highway early Saturday, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the wreck involved a 2013 Ram 1500 pick-up truck and a tractor-trailer. For reasons still unclear, the Ram crashed into the rear of the truck in the westbound side of Pacific Coast Highway, just west of Technology Place.
The accident on Long Beach highway took place at about 12:15 a.m.

Per press release, personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived at the scene and immediate rendered aid to the sole driver of the Ram. Paramedics reportedly rushed the injured driver to a local hospital, where he later sadly died. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed but authorities mentioned he was a 40-year-old man from Long Beach.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the horrible car accident in Long Beach.
