Dee Daley Killed Crossing 7th Street and Park Avenue
Long Beach (April 18, 2017)- A deadly pedestrian accident resulted in the death of a man Tuesday morning as he crossed an intersection at 7th Street and Park Avenue.
The incident was reported at 1:20 a.m. when an SUV struck a man identified as Dee Frank Daley, 60, of Utah, who had been in a crosswalk.
A Long Beach police officer witnessed the incident take place as Dee Daley was dragged by the SUV for approximately a block until coming to a stop at 6th and Park.
The driver of the SUV, an 82-year-old man accompanied by a woman, was completely unaware that he wad hit anyone before being told that a man was still stuck underneath the vehicle. The Long Beach Fire Department arrived and finally were able to dislodge Dee Daley only to sadly pronounced him dead a short while later due to serious trauma injuries.
