LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 7, 2018) — A motorcyclist and a big rig truck collided Thursday morning on the Interstate 405 Freeway at the Studebaker Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The collision took place about 7:40 a.m. this morning and was blocking the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway. Police issued a SigAlert for the crash. Paramedics were called to the scene to help the injured rider, but it’s unknown at this time if he or she was hospitalized.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene on a flatbed tow truck. All lanes reopened at 8:35 a.m. this morning.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating this collision and will determine fault. At this time, we do not know who is responsible, nor how serious the injuries were to the motorcyclist.
