Man Critically Injured in Long Beach Hit-and-Run at Anaheim Street and Obispo Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (May 3, 2021) – A DUI hit-and-run crash at Anaheim Street and Obispo Avenue critically injured a pedestrian in Long Beach.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident occurred early Monday. Officers reported the incident at about 12:30 a.m.
Police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Obispo Avenue in Long Beach.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the man left suffering from major injuries to his upper and lower body as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed him to a hospital and listed him in critical condition. Officials did not disclose the name of the victim.
Meanwhile, police affirmed the male motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. However, he returned to the crash site after an hour.
Authorities determined that he was under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs when the accident took place. They arrested him on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI.
The Long Beach DUI hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
