LONG BEACH, California (September 15, 2016) – A Signal Hill motorcyclist died after a traffic collision in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood on Thursday, according to The Press Telegram.
The accident was reported at 11:56 p.m., at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Bixby Road.
As per the article, Long Beach Police Department said 51-year-old William Skipper was allegedly lane splitting and weaving in and out of traffic on northbound Cherry Avenue approaching Bixby Road when a 51-year-old Buena Park man made a left turn onto Bixby.
The two collided, causing Skipper to sustain major head and body trauma. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
