1 Seriously Injured in Longvale Crash on Highway 101 Near Irvine Rest Area
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (September 8, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 101 in Longvale.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on September 4 at about 2:07 p.m.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Longvale community of Mendocino County. They crashed on northbound Highway 101 near the Irvine Rest Area.
Car and Truck Collide
CHP described the vehicles as a white colored BMW and a white truck with a trailer. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patient to the Adventist Health Howard Memorial for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Highway 101 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Longvale crash is still under investigation.
