
Lori Johnson, 57, Injured in Santa Rosa DUI Crash on Beaumont Way
SANTA ROSA, CA (May 20, 2023) – Lori Johnson was injured after a DUI driver crashed into her home on Beaumont Way in Santa Rosa.
Police identified the 57-year-old Santa Rosa woman as the victim in the collision which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when Lori Johnson was sitting on a sectional couch inside her 3-bedroom house in east Santa Rosa. Her home is located on Beaumont Way at the corner of Calistoga Road.
Police said a Tesla plowed into the living room wall of the residence. Prior to the accident, officers believed that the car traveled over the curb, slipped between two trees and crashed through a fence.
DUI Driver Crashes Into Home
The Press Democrat wrote that the wreck occurred on May 20 at around 12:50 a.m. Lori Johnson sustained multiple cuts and bruises as a result of the crash.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided aid to the victim for the injuries she obtained upon impact. Meanwhile, police determined that the female driver of the Tesla was under the influence at the time.
Officers soon arrested her on suspicion of DUI. Officials closed the area of Beaumont and Calistoga near the home following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Rosa DUI crash is still under investigation.
