4 Injured in Los Alamos Crash on Southbound Highway 101 Saturday
LOS ALAMOS (September 1, 2018) – A traffic collision injured several people along Highway 101 on Saturday morning, according to Noozhawk and KSBY News.
The accident was reported at 6 a.m. on Highway 101 at the Los Alamos southbound off-ramp.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol said at least seven vehicles, including one that was towing a trailer at the time, collided in the southbound lanes of the highway.

As per the reports, the wreck was prompted by a driver who was allegedly seen traveling at a high rate of speed and was swerving in and out of traffic prior to impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a total of four people who were hurt as a result of the crash. The patients were transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria to be treated minor injuries.
Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, the highway was reduced to one lane of traffic going south for multiple hours following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
