High Speed Crash on Highway 101 Results in Major Injuries
LOS ALAMOS, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2019) — A major injury collision between two motorists was reported today on Highway 101, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported at 11:31 a.m. between a grey Honda sedan and a white Toyota RAV4 SUV. The CHP report stated that the driver in the Honda was traveling at speeds estimated to be above 100 mph prior to colliding with the Toyota. Several vehicles pulled over at the center divider to help those involved.
Paramedics responded and transported at least one critically injured person, but there were no further details.
The crash remains under investigation by police to determine fault and whether or not any criminal charges will be filed against the at-fault driver.
