2-Vehicle Car Accident on SR-85 in Los Altos

LOS ALTOS, Calif. (August 30, 2024) — A two-vehicle Los Altos crash happened Friday morning on State Route 85 or Highway 85, just north of the Fremont Avenue on ramp.

The traffic accident occurred on the northbound SR-85 at 8:49 a.m. on August 30th, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Toyota Corolla sedan and a grey Toyota RAV4 SUV were involved in the collision.

The Toyota sedan went roughly 20 feet off the roadway into the embankment where it was found with major front-end damage.

Meanwhile, the RAV4 SUV remained in the right traffic lane with rear-end damage. Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the crash site.

Paramedics responded and assisted at least one person with minor injuries, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on State Route Highway 85 in Los Altos.
