LOS ALTOS, California (August 30, 2016) –– Matthew Maki, 58, has been identified as the man killed in a motorcycle collision Monday afternoon on Foothill Expressway.
The crash took place about 12:15 p.m. between S. Joseph Avenue and Loyola Drive, per the Mercury New.
Sources say that Maki was heading eastbound on the Expressway before losing control and leaving the road before striking a tree.
Mak sadly did not survive the collision and was declared to have been deceased upon the arrival of police officials and paramedics.
At this time, the cause of the collision is under investigation as police officials continue to thoroughly look into why the Los Altos man lost control.
Police officials will look into whether or not there was a malfunction with the bike which could have contributed to the victim’s death.
