Sources say that Maki was heading eastbound on the Expressway before losing control and leaving the road before striking a tree.
Mak sadly did not survive the collision and was declared to have been deceased upon the arrival of police officials and paramedics.
At this time, the cause of the collision is under investigation as police officials continue to thoroughly look into why the Los Altos man lost control.
