Pedestrian Severely Injured in Los Angeles County Hit-and-Run at Santa Fe and Hope
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (November 6, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash severely injured a pedestrian at Santa Fe Avenue and Hope Street in Los Angeles County.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place early Saturday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 12:34 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Los Angeles County. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Hope Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim left suffering from severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the St. Francis Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Santa Fe and Hope to close following the fatal collision.
The cause of the Los Angeles County hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
