Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near Campus Drive
Los Angeles, CA (May 14, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that happened on Interstate 10, also known as San Bernardino Freeway.
Our sources indicated one or more vehicles struck an individual in the eastbound side of I-10 near Campus Drive. CHP logged the case on May 14, Sunday, around 10:07 p.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Los Angeles
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found an unconscious person lying on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway in East Los Angeles. Officials said the victim sustained serious injuries including major trauma to their head. Responding paramedics performed life-saving efforts to the pedestrian but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. It remained unclear whether the victim died at the scene, or during transport. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned a black SUV, and a BMW were possibly involved in the horrible crash.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 10 in Los Angeles.
