Paramedic Injured After Car Crash at Temple Avenue and Laveta Terrace Thursday
Los Angeles, CA (December 19, 2020) – A traffic collision triggered by a suspected DUI driver occurred Thursday evening in the area of Temple Avenue and Laveta Terrace.
DUI Suspect Hits Ambulance in Los Angeles, December 17
The On Scene TV News reported an intoxicated motorist struck a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance at the intersection of Temple and Laveta. Officials described the suspect vehicle as a black sedan.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., firefighters responded to the crash site. They found the ambulance with significant damage to its passenger side.
Authorities later confirmed one paramedic suffered injuries as a result of the collision. Per local news source, an ambulance rushed the injured paramedic to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan was also reportedly transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
Following an evaluation, investigators determined the sedan driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Further investigation on the DUI car crash at Temple Avenue and Laveta Terrace in Los Angeles is ongoing.
