LOS ANGELES, California (May 30, 2016) — Motorcycle rider Edgar Inda, 29, of Whittier and his female passenger were both killed early Monday morning in a solo crash on Washington Boulevard, just east of Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place just after midnight on Memorial Day when Inda reportedly lost control as he approached a curve in the road. The bike struck the center divider and the two people were ejected off. Neither of them were wearing helmets, police said. Inda died of his injuries at the scene of the crash, but the woman passenger was hospitalized and died there.

The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is heading up the investigation into the fatal crash and are trying to determine whether speed was a factor.
