Bicycle Rider Killed in Los Angeles Crash Near Central and Florence
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 4, 2023) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Central and Florence avenues in South Los Angeles.
According to article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the collision on June 4 shortly after 8 p.m.
Los Angeles police said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit the victim near the intersection of South Central and East Florence avenues.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon confirmed that the cyclist, possibly a minor, died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist involved stopped or stayed at the site following the accident. The cause of the fatal Los Angeles bicycle crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Central and Florence avenues to shut down for a time after the collision.
